CLEar Cut™ Series MCD Polishing Bits

Glass-clear edges straight off the CNC. CLEar Cut™ MCD Polishing Bits use true monocrystalline diamond to deliver mirror-grade finishes on clear plastics—often eliminating flame polishing and heavy bench work. Pair a proper rough/finish strategy with a final polishing pass and ship parts that sparkle.

Finish: Crisp, glass-like edges with reduced haze and swirl.
Edge life: MCD wear resistance for long, consistent gloss over extended runs.
Stability: Rigid shanks sized to the cut for chatter-free polishing at high RPM.

Key terms: LOC (Length of Cut) equals the diamond length—your true polishing length. DOC (Depth of Cut) is the necked clearance you can machine to without the shank rubbing the wall.

Acrylic (cast/extruded), polycarbonate, PETG, and other clear thermoplastics
Sign letters, lenses, displays, fixtures, light-guides, and premium edge work

How to use

Rough/profile with a standard plastics tool (leave a light finish allowance of .015-.030 ).
Run a dedicated polishing pass with the MCD bit at high RPM, light step-over/step-down.
Use rigid workholding, accurate length setting, and keep chips clear.

Note: Choose LOC for the required edge length and DOC for wall clearance. Use the specified shank/collet size.
