Collets
Collets grip the shank of the cutting tool inside a collet chuck or extension. Choose the collet system your holder takes, then the size that matches your tool shank. Most of our collets are ER collets, ER8 to ER50, in metric and inch sizes. We also carry DNA collets for small tools, ER collet sets, and SYOZ, EOC, Shoda and Heian collets.
Our ER collets are made from high-carbon bearing steel with a Swiss grinding technique and heat treated, and each collet is hand inspected. Runout (T.I.R.) averages 0.0002". Use them with a PowerCOAT nut for the best holding power and cutting tool life.
ER collet sizes
The ER size must match the collet pocket and nut of your holder. Each ER size has its own length and outside diameter, so you can identify a collet by measuring it with a caliper. Metric collets are named by the shank range they hold, for example ER32 5-6mm, and inch collets by the shank size.

DNA collets
DNA (Dead Nuts Accurate) collets are made for small router bits and cutters. They hold the tool shank with about twice as much metal as a standard ER collet, for more rigidity and accuracy, and they fit your standard ER holders. Runout (T.I.R.) is 0.0002". DNA 11, 16, 20 and 32 collets are listed with the ER collets of the same size: ER11, ER16, ER20 and ER32.
SYOZ, EOC, Shoda and Heian collets
SYOZ & EOC Collets are DIN 6388 collets: SYOZ25 for SYOZ25 holders, and EOC8, EOC12 and EOC16. Shoda & Heian Collets & Nuts has collets and nuts for Shoda routers (old style, new style, Piggyback and Super Shoda) and Heian collets.
