Hydraulic Reduction Sleeves
ETP Hydro-Grip hydraulic reduction sleeves let a hydraulic chuck hold a smaller tool shank with high precision. The sleeve's outside diameter matches the chuck bore, and its bore matches the tool. Runout is under 3 microns, and a sleeve increases the torque the chuck can transmit.
| Sleeve | Outside diameter (chuck bore) | Bores (tool shank) |
|---|---|---|
| HS 12 | 12 mm | 3 to 10 mm; 1/8" to 3/8" |
| HS 20 | 20 mm | 3 to 16 mm and 18 mm; 1/8" to 5/8" |
| HS 25 | 25 mm | 3 to 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20 mm; 1/8" to 13/16" |
| HS 1/2" | 1/2" | 1/8" to 3/8" |
| HS 3/4" | 3/4" | 1/8" to 5/8" |
| HS 1" | 1" | 1/8" to 3/4" |
- Insert the tool the full length of the sleeve.
- Tool shanks with h6 or h7 tolerance can be used.
- Never clamp a sleeve without a tool in it; that damages the sleeve.
- Improper assembly can damage the concentricity of the sleeve.
ETP lists its reduction sleeves for its Compact, Slender and Pencil chucks: Hydraulic Chucks.
